Max was born in Tracy, CA. He completed his undergraduate degree at CSU Chico, receiving his B.S. in Biochemistry and working under the mentorship of Dr. David Ball and Dr. Randy Miller. Through his experiences he decided to pursue a Ph.D in Synthetic Chemistry.
